Back to School

These 4 have all had their first week of school!  It turned out pretty great because the school district had to send everyone home early from school on account of the heat and lack of AC in the schools. With our extra time at home, the kids made a solar oven out of a shoebox to melt the chocolate & marshmallows for s’mores.

M & the kids spent the one of the last days before school started making a Rube Goldberg-esque course in the yard.  Here's a video of a fairly successful run.  That's a mouse trap that flips up at the end.  Google Rube Goldberg and you will find tons of videos of crazy complicated contraptions that do the simplest things.  They are very entertaining. . . at least if you are nerdy like we are. :)
