finally his turn!!!

Jeepers! How long has it been since I posted?!?!

J has the much anticipated 3rd Grade Volcano Day coming up this week. When S made hers 3 years ago, she labored lovingly for days, maybe weeks, on an elaborate volcano complete with an awesome cross section diagram and landscaped with moss and plastic palm trees. J, on the other hand, is all about getting to the eruption part ASAP! He pulled off what might be the fastest, slickest volcano constructions EVER; half hour, forty-five minutes tops. It involved the bottom of a large pizza box, a 12 ounce plastic bottle, 8 triangle-ish fins made of foamcore board and lots of duct tape! He couldn’t be happier.

He did one quick test eruption before bed, but he can hardly wait for tomorrow’s task; test every conceivable combination of vinegar, baking soda, food coloring, coke and mentos to determine the most violent eruption possible.
