J's baptism

Back in June, J had a big day. He was baptized to be a full member of our church. We sent out a little announcement/invitation and it looked like this (well except his name & the address weren't blurred of course)

Isn't he a cute kid?!?! He really is fantastic, but lest you think he is ONLY sweet and kind and good. . . here are a few of the shot that didn't make the announcement!
He can be a tad stubborn at times. . .

so we tried some outside to see if it would brighten his mood. . .

umm, maybe a bit too bright. . .

OH and he gets goofier! (yes, gone is the illusion of a proper young man in his Sunday-going-to-church clothes) :)

ugh! it's exhausting being this cute.

oh and NO photo session is complete for this kid without the zombie look.

If I have to smile one more time somebody is going to get hurt!

No really all of that was just kidding around. This is how he normally is all the time.

He IS a regular goofy kid, but he is always surprising me with the understanding of the scriptures and gospel that he has. We were so glad to have so many good friends there to witness this big step for J.
