Here's fun idea for an atypical drawing canvas. Take an empty toilet paper tube and squish one end in from opposite sides making a pair of ears poking up. Let you imagination go from there. In the photo above you can see what we came up with, starting from the left: J's dragon (note the yellow paper tail he added), S's baby bat (she cut a bit of the tube and popped it out to the sides to create the wings), my raccoon and the owl that AJ colored. Since the time I took the photo, an elf and an alien have been added to our collection. Pointy eared things seem to lend themselves to Halloweenish creatures, we may have to revisit this idea in a couple months....
